Parking and Traffic Information
First we must apologize to any business (or neighbor) that the Stroll negatively impacts. We believe this community event is overall a benefit for the Solano Avenue businesses and character that we all love.
Direct Impact on Sunday:
- Vendors begin setting up around 7:00 am, so expect congestion the morning of the event
- Solano Avenue is closed to through traffic from 9:00 am – 10:00 am (Solano Avenue is accessible)
- Solano Avenue is completely closed to vehicles from 10:00 am – 5:30 pm
- AC transit will be re-routed to Marin from 09:00 am – 7:00 pm
- The nearest open cross streets are San Pablo Avenue in Albany and The Alameda in Berkeley.
Although Solano Avenue side-streets will be closed to through traffic, you can still park where normally permitted. You can approach Solano Avenue from any side street… you may have to move a traffic control device. If you do, please put it back.
A) If your business is on the North side of Solano Avenue have your customers and deliveries approach from:
Washington in Albany; Capistrano, Tacoma or Colusa in Berkeley.
B) If your business is on the South side of Solano Avenue use Marin Avenue in Albany and Berkeley.
There are no special parking permits or designated parking areas.
If you have a parking lot near-by that is not used on Sundays you may not park there without express permission.
**Remind your customers early, that you will be open – if you are!
Please let us know if you have any questions, or you would like to discuss a specific strategy for your needs.
